CELEBRATION LUNCHEON AT NORMANDY

TALK members descended in large numbers upon the splendid village hall at Normandy on Thursday 22nd May for our final anniversary celebration in this, our tenth year.

This took the form of an informal barbecue lunch prepared for us by the experts at Kilfeather and Dumbrill. In a triumph of organisation Philippa Galloway, Jane Langley, Christine Jones and Hazel Steel, with lots of assistance from others, provided us with a day to remember.

SCA VISIT

Surrey Community Action’s Chief Executive, Jean Roberts-Jones, called in to the Walton group recently, where she obviously spent an enjoyable time. This is her thank you letter to group leader Janet Sutton:

Please give a big thank you to all your volunteers and recoverers who made me very welcome today. It was a real joy to meet your dedicated helpers, who had great patience and who obviously cared deeply for the club members. On a personal note, I congratulate you on the efficient way you are running the group and the time and effort given in making it ‘fun’.
I appreciate your time and wish you and the group every success. If Surrey Community Action can help at all in the future please do not hesitate to give me a call.

Best wishes,

Jean Roberts-Jones
