albert talbort

Albert lives in Staines and is a regular attender at Walton. Now aged 87, Albert has led a varied life, beginning as a motorcycle mechanic and serving a spell as a coalman before moving to North Surrey Water. During the last war he served in Egypt in the Royal Army Service Corps. He suffered his stroke about four years ago and now lives with one of his three sons. He also has a daughter. He is seen here making a presentation to Jane.
Vilas-Pankay-Rawal arrived from Uganda at the age of 16. After her marriage she worked at a service station, eventually becoming the manager. She then became a postmistress. She and her husband have one son. Here she is pictured with her husband enjoying the sun in Cyprus, where she has relatives. Vilas travels annually to India where she enjoys a month’s worth of massage. Vilas-Pankay-Rawal
susan steele Susan Steele was a community nurse. She trained at the Royal Free. A keen painter Susan enjoys going on painting holidays
Irene Rand
Following her stroke three years ago Irene was unable to see for six weeks. For 20 years she worked at the old Ashford Hospital as a telephone operator. She spent a further period at Sunbury health centre, working until she was 80. She has two daughters and five grandchildren

bob nash Bob Nash is a former aircraft paint sprayer at Croydon airport in the days before Heathrow. He and his wife, Beryl, have a son, daughter and four grandchildren.
