Puppeteering at Walton

Walton Group had a visit from Ken Dalston, who gave us a talk about his life as a puppeteer. He showed us all his puppets, including Mr. Punch, and how he makes him from a block of wood. He then showed us how he makes puppets from all sorts of things including plastic bottles, paper plates, socks and yoghurt pots.

The group were all very interested and Ken is coming back next term (on Mr Punch's birthday) to help everyone make a puppet. It should be a very interesting and fun day. We will let you know how it went.

Another interesting session was advertising when the group discussed their favourite TV adverts - it is a good form of communication - and ended the session producing a poster advertising the Walton TALK group.
